The Florida Steel Guitar Club's August 2004 Meeting/Steel Jam will be Wednesday, August 11th, 2004, at 6PM. Location is Catfish Johnny's Restaurant, CR470, Lake Panasoffkee, Fl. (our regular Meeting/Jam place).
The club is open to all interested Steelers and those interested in Steel Guitar. There are no Club membership fees and no admission fees to the Club Meetings/Jams.
For those that will be traveling to Florida, the FSGC Club holds monthly Meetings/Steel Jams the second Wednesday of each month. Lake Panasoffkee is exit 321 on I75, approximately 60 miles west of Orlando and about the same distance north of Tampa.

Our 2nd Anniversary Show will be on Saturday September 18th,2004.
We will have more details on this upcoming event at this meeting.

Come join us tonight Wednesday the 11th.

Also note that we will not have our regular 2nd Wednesday of the month Jam in September due to our Anniversay show on September 18th.

Just got back home from the Aug. 11 jam -- and a great time was had by all. Sorry I have to miss the 2nd anniversary celebration. We will be checking email every day and lurking on the Forum until we return home in about 3+ months. See you around Christmas time.

We Tallahassee pickers, Albert Johnson, Dana Flood and I had planned to go down to the jam. However, it was raining so hard this morning that we couldn’t get out equipment loaded. We checked the weather channel and decided to abort the mission because of the hurricane. I guess I’m getting to old to fight the rain for 200 miles. We’ll see you guys in October. Leon

Leon, Albert, Danna, Looked for you and missed seing you. I left Lake City about 1 30 had a small amount of rain for about ten miles then sun all the way till about 5 miles from the turn off, then it stoped. no more rain, more of a threat than anything else.
We had a great time amd missed you guys, but I guess I was determoned to make it any way. Danna we met at the Dothan Jam and enjoyed your playing very much, hope to meet you again soon.

ernie

I want to thank all the great pickers we had last night for another super jam.
We even had a few who brought there steels but decided not to play because they felt we had planty of steel players on the floor when they arrived. I wish they had played as well.
We can always make room even tho' we would have had close to 20 players if all had decide to pick.

I want to give a special thanks to "Bernie Kelly" from Largo FL who won the 50/50 drawing we had and graciously donated it back to the band.

Remember there will not be a September Jam because of our "2nd Anniversay Show" on the 18th.
