We tend to write about the bad examples of supposed wrongdoings by businesses and tend to take all the good ones for granted.

When I have the opportunity to spotlight a success story, I can't wait to let everybody know.

Such a thing has happened to me lately.
I contracted with Kevin Hatton to make a case for the steel I am taking to England as those things go sometimes, measurements and preferences got misunderstood. End of story....I got a case that didn't fit. I let Kevin know right away. Since there was no time to return the case to him and have him repair it and send it back (things tend to get hung up at Canada Customs at the border), we were in a bit of a dilemma as what to do...I needed a case, couldn't let go of the old one. If need be, I would have to repair it and make do.
That's when Kevin said: Hang on to the old case. In the meantime I will start making you a new one tonight. He did, and called me last thursday saying he was shipping the case express. This morning it was sitting on my front porch..4 days in transit!
I called Kevin today and told him the good news and that the case fit like a glove.
He said the cost didn't matter to him as long as his customers are happy.

Kevin has one more happy customer,
Thanks for excellent service!

I have the Hatton split case for my main ShoBud.

Good customer care goes a long way as demonstrated here.

I would like to add that I also had Kevin make a case for my Emmons Legrande III. From the time I placed my order to when it was delivered to the UK I was kept fully informed by Kevin. The case fit my steel like a glove and the materials and workmanship are second to none. A First Class service.

Kevin has made 4 cases for me.
Three are for Fender Stringmasters and the fourth is for a triple neck Rickenbacker.
They are all tweed and very nice. Very Happy

Ditto on all the above comments! Kevin's work is spot on and if you're in the market for a new case or split-cases, he'll make it happen for you. He just didn't take my order by email...he called at least three times to insure he got my measurements perfect for my axe! Great work from a craftsman...Thanks again Kevin...Carl

I just picked up a split case for my MSA Classic S-12 from Kevin and it looks fantastic. Got it back home and my guitar fits like a glove. Couldn’t have asked for a better all-around experience, from placing the order to picking up the case. And if you’re a player in southern Ontario like me, make a weekend out of it in Buffalo and save on shipping and duty.
