For those of you who have asked about my our
HCOA..I have worked dilligently to get this long deleted LP made into a CD format, but with much opposition. Many times I wanted to give up and let others bootleg it. But Its the principal and I dont like to see people take something that meant so much to us take it and look for a profit. I am willing to make this CD available at a price that will be affordable and give you a finished product.

I have a friend and member who has found the missing link to seeing this come true. He is
a Forum member whom I will name later on in this thread, He is a friend who is trying to help me see this dream that Johhny and the other boys always hoped for.

Sure I know its antiquated and sometimes corny, but it was an American Dream and I am about to see that dream come true after all these years. And in the USA where it belongs with all due respect to the foreign country where this is happening. I wont give in until
this dream is a reality, then I can rest.

I know I wont sell many, but its NOT the money
I am looking for,Its the pricipal for those musicians who helped me during this project

And for them and them alone, I would like to
see that dream come true. They worked so hard and I would like to see that happen.

There are a few CD's on the market that have been reissued of the hcoa..but I know I can compete and offer the original passion and hard work that went into this.

Perhaps when this happens bOb will help me see this dream come true. I couldnt think of a better place to launch this but on this Forum.

My Thanks to Dave Van Allen for all his help
but the small print is still up in the air.
Dont hold your breath, but Iam doing the best I can with what I have.

I need the luck to see this happen ,,the hard
work didnt really help.

Thanks to all of you who expressed interest.

And especially to my friend Joey Ace who has been guiding me through this. And to my friend Kerry Wood who is working his tail off for me and those dedicated musicians who
I loved as my own family.

I hope that this will be finalized by this coming fall. I will post my progress as time allows. I am willing to work with Bobby Lee when this is realized. Its up to bOb.

I hope it happens. It's part of our history and legacy of the continuation of steel guitar.

....and it's darn good music by two Super Pickers.

The first time I heard it I told Jody it reminded me of Les Paul's work.

He replied, "maybe so, but we didn't multi-track.".

I always think of Chico Marx at the piano when I see that photo.

I will wait as long as I have to and I will latch on to one of these the second it becomes available.

Jody my friend....don't give up on making your album available to your many fans. I know it's a hassel to deal with the many difficulties involved, but the financial returns are not relevant in making a piece of steel-guitar history available to your fellow musicians, when it is even more important to members of your own family.

Casey will someday have a copy of your CD in a frame on the wall of her home, and the memories of her beloved grandfather and his exceptional talent will be a source of pride for her and her children and even more to her children's children!

That alone will make it all worthwhile!

'til later my friend,

Gene Jones

I've been wanting to hear this for the last two years or more... guess I can wait a few more months...
Stick at it Jody - there are many reasons to do this, and not least what Gene wrote above.

Whatsamattayou? I leave home for a couple of days and you post an important announcement like this during my absence! I'm anxiously awaiting my copy as soon as it is available. I hope you use the original cover with thuse two handsome guys rather than putting a picture of your homley mug on there.

Congratulations. The world needs some refreshing stuff from the pre-pedal days.

Thank you all for your interest and praise.I do appreciate it more than you know.

I am at the present time gearing up for a re-issue of the Hot Club Of America. It will not be much longer that this will be a reality. My feelings as I have said before was
to make the dream of 4 younger musicians who
tried to make that dream come true and at that time,it didnt happen.

My main purpose in this venture is to see to it that my late partner Johnny Cucci will have his dream realized and my intentions are to buy a headstone for Johnny and have it
done in the manner he deserved and not having
a service that was due him as a wonderful human being that he was.

I will take all of your e mail address'es and file them and when the CD is ready I will contact each of you who wish to have one.

My intentions were to offer them for sale on this Forum..but due to a misunderstanding,
I dont feel comfortable doing so and that was not something that I initiated I can assure you of that.

I will be in St Louis this year and hope to
have the CD's ready at that time and possibly
long before that.

Thanks to all of you for your friendship and prayers. Marilyn and myself will always cherish your wishes of good health for both of us and our family.

Best To All Of You.

Jody
