Hello all,

I'll be playing steel and six string guitar tonight with a great new Brooklyn-based band called Wormwood. We do a mix of country, old blues and other music (Sun Ra, Charlie Christian, Eddie Harris and more) as well as some fine original compositions by our bandleader guitarist Michael Gomez. We will probably do one long set, or maybe two shorter ones, starting at 9 PM. Barbes (Bar-BESS) is located near the corner of 6th avenue and 9th street in Park Slope. Pretty, intimate venue that is definitely not the typical rock toilet vibe. Would love to see some of my fellow steelers there. Admission is free.

Hey Gerald. Was Wormwood that band we shared the bill with at The Knitting Factory? If so, that was a great set. I shall do my best to be there.

Steel at a fancy French joint. Ooh la la!
