I'm thinking of coming to Nashville in Sept, and want to see Paul Franklin and the Time Jumpers.
Do you have to make reservations ahead of time?
What are some safe hotels near the Station Inn?

No reservations for the show.
I suggest you get there around 8:00 to get a good seat. |

The Time Jumpers put on an awesome show.If you go to Broadway two doors down from the Ernest Tubb Record Shop is "The Wheel". If you want traditional country that is the place to go on Broaday. |

Theresa -
Hope this doesn't sound too nit-picky but the increasing popularity of The Time Jumpers is getting such that arriving BEFORE 8:00 seems to be a better idea. Yep, I know, the wait until 9 o'clock can seem to be interminable, but it's worth it.
Respectfully,
Richard |

Richard, let me know when you're coming to Nashville. It would be nice to visit and catch up. I don't think I've even seen you in 15 years or more.

If you check the schedule carefully, you could see Paul play two nights in a row. Monday at Station Inn and Tuesday at Third and Lindsley with The Players. Both are a true lesson in humility for any musician. Note that sometimes Paul will sub out of the Time Jumpers gig. Not to say that seeing Terry Crisp with them isn't a real treat!

We were just there July 27th and got there a little after 7. Plenty of seats then and none other than Smiley Robert's greeted us at the door. Got to sit right down front close to Paul. What a show. was able to say hi to Paul after the show and he is a super nice guy! Any musician should make sure and see the Time Jumpers while in Nashville!! I'm going back for sure! Oh, there was a guest singer in the crowd too, I think her name was Reba! My wife thinks I was more excited getting my picture taken with "that steel player" than with Reba. Dave,
It looks like I will be there late Sept or early October. It would be great to see you and hang out a little. Nashville is part of a larger vacation I am taking that includes Boston. I only planned Nashville for arrival on Sunday, and leaving Tuesday, but would stay an extra day if you want to do something. I have been to Nashville twice (each time for a week), so I have seen all the touristy things.
As far as THE PLAYERS go, do they play every Tuesday. I looked at the website for the 3rd & Lindsay Bar & Grill (or whatever it is called, and only saw the players listed once and not while I would be there.
If I have to, I will park my butt in front of The Station Inn hours before the opening, just to make sure. Do they allow cameras? Although I would love to see Paul, I would welcome anyone who subs for him. I really want to see Dawn Sears (as well as the rest), but she makes my heart go pitter patter One of the best there is in my opinion.
Does anyone know anything about the Hutton Hotel? I am booking my vacation though an online travel site, and this is the one they came up with. I will have a car, so being close to the Station Inn isn't a necessity, but would be nice. Of course, If I can get a map of Nashville (a trip to AAA is in my near future), I can probably find a hotel that Hotels.com handles that is close to the Station inn.
By the way, is there any good steel gigs to see in Boston. I will be there Thurs, Fri, and Saturday night either the last week of Sept of the first week of October (need to see New England when the leaves turn colors - absolute ecstacy) _________________ Carter D10 8p/8k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup,Regal RD40 Dobro, Recording King Professional Dobro, NV400, NV112,Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open D slide guitar) .
