Wish I could have been there. To all you folks that went, I am jealous. To all you folks that didn't go put this one on the list next year, Mike puts on a classy show, and my buddy Joe is a great MC, and I bet everyone that was there had a great time.
LOTS OF GREAT TALENT AT THIS ONE.
Let us know how it was folks, and we want pictures ASAP. |

Just got home form NM Show and it was a great time. Great place this year in a Theater on the UNM campus just off the I-40 an I-25 intersection. Getting biger and better. Many great players and SteelSeat announced yet another new model at the show. That makes the line getting more complete all the time.
See post soon with photos under events here.
Thanks for all the positive complements and a BIG thanks to Mike Castleberry for putting together yet another great list of players and a great show.
I think there will be photos soon - Mike had a "Staff Photogropher"

I talked to Mike this AM and he had to be at a training class 8 AM yesterday and today so had not had time to get the photos on yet.
He said that he WOULD have them on the forum tomorrow night for sure.

I would like to give a big Thank you to John Hensch for doing such a great job on the sound and for getting there at the crack of dawn with Mike and me. I also appreciate the help from Troy, Peggy, LaRue and Jim as well as the others who stuck with us until the early hours of Sunday morning getting John’s U-Haul loaded with Mike’s monster PA and lights. Mike thanks for your effort in organizing such a fine show, which can be taxing on your personal resources and your lower back. Joe thanks for your great EMCEE skills that help the show flow smooth from player to player. Red and Billy, I sorry both of you were unable to make it this year and I hope to see both of you in Phoenix next January. We sure missed you. Red, I did hear you over the PA. Finally, thanks to everyone who attended and had a great time. |

I'd like to thank Mike Castleberry, and the rest of the crew responsible for organizing the New Mexico Steel Guitar show. Special thanks to emcee, Joe Naylor and Ray Harrison for allowing me to join that outstanding house band. It was a real treat and an honor to play beside world class pianist, Roy Rosetta. What an amazing musician he is. I'm just now getting back down to earth. Great job everybody! _________________ Clinesmith consoles D-8/6 5 pedal, D-8 3 pedal & A25 Frypan, Pettingill Teardrop, & P8 Deluxe. |

This was a great show and as I said in another post "the steelers were all on top of their game". This show seems to get better each year. The stage band was super, great musicians each and everyone, and it was my previlege to get to work with them.
Thank you Rick Barnhart for the kind words, it's those compliments that make all the hard work worth while. It was my pleasure to work with you also and hopefully we'll get to do it again. Maybe in Phoenix, watcha think??
Thanks again to Mike Castleberry and all of the New Mexico Steel guitar club for letting me be a small part of the show, it was my pleasure.
Best Wishes,
