Does anyone have a tab of Coca Cola Cowboy? I would gladly make a contribution to the forum for a copy and be very grateful. Thanks. _________________ Emmons S10, p/p, Nashville 112, Zion 50 tele style guitar, Gibson LP Classic w/Vox AC30, Fender Deluxe De Ville and a Rawdon-Hall classical |

I think the original key is E. I'd like to check that one out too if you don't mind. Thanks. |

Loren, that was a while ago. Worked it up because I didn't have a guitar player that did it at the time. Glad you found and are going to be able to use it.

Quentin, I'm not sure who the steeler was on the session, but love it...
Listen to how "lead instrument silence" is used from 1:20 to 1:37 in that link. Real country... And how prominent the steel sounds when it sneaks back in. It is more then learning to play, also learning when it is "right" not to play. I have always like this song, may have to start singing it myself. |

Agreed Dick, when country was country! Steel had a more prominant place in the line up. I find nowadays that tracks can get too busy when they should be backing off. Another good example is here

From 1:20 to about 1:40 with the only interuption is when somebody either trips over or kicks an amp that has the reverb cranked up at about 1:22 |

If it's the Mel Tillis cut it sounds like Buddy Emmons. _________________ Desmond Johnson |
