My cell phone is a Cingular 2125. It runs Windows Mobile 5. Okay, it's a few years old, but it does have Bluetooth.
My new car has a built in wireless system for voice-activated, hands-free calling. It uses a protocol called UConnect. As near as I can tell, there's no UConnect program on my phone.
I use the car's voice menu to "pair" the system to my phone. I get to the point where I'm supposed to activate UConnect pairing on the phone, and I just don't know what to do. In the Bluetooth configuration there's "Off", "On" and "Discoverable". Nothing happens on any of the settings. The car just times out waiting for it, then issues an error message.
Am I just S.O.L.? _________________ -𝕓𝕆𝕓- (admin) - Robert P. Lee - Recordings - Breathe - D6th - Video |

You need to be in discoverable mode so that Uconnect can pair with the device. Try turning the phone off, then turning it back on. Place the phone in discoverable mode and then start up the uconnect and see if that does it.
Uconnect is just the name of the bluetooth interface used for some car manufacturers. _________________ We live to play another day. |

The following are general phone to UConnect™ System pairing instructions:
• Press the "Phone" button to begin.
• After the “Ready” prompt and the following beep, say “Setup Phone Pairing”.
• When prompted, after the voice on beep, say “Pair a Phone".
• You will be asked to say a four-digit pin number which you will later need to enter into your cellular. You can enter any four-digit pin number. You will not need to remember this pin number after the initial pairing process.
• The UConnect™ system will then prompt you to begin the cellular phone pairing process on your cellular phone. Before attempting to pair phone, please see your cellular phone’s user manual (Bluetooth section) for instructions on how to complete this step.
• For identification purposes, you will be prompted to give the UConnect™ system a name for your cellular phone. Each cellular phone that is paired should be given a unique phone name.
• You will then be asked to give your cellular phone a priority level between 1 and 7, 1 being the highest priority. You can pair up to seven cellular phones to your UConnect™ system. However, at any given time, only one cellular phone can be in use, connected to your UConnect™ System.
The priority allows the UConnect™ system to know which cellular phone to use if multiple cellular phones are in the vehicle at the same time. For example, if priority 3 and priority 5 phones are present in the vehicle, the UConnect™system will use the priority 3 cellular phone when you make a call. You can select to use a lower priority cellular phone at any time (refer to “Advanced Phone Connectivity”). _________________ We live to play another day. |

If all else fails, go back to the dealership and have them help you pair it. _________________ We live to play another day. |
