Terry,
To tell you the truth, I don't know where you can find dating all pull Legrande's. I know the site for push pulls. All I know is that it does have the 4 hole bell cranks.
Maybe someone else on the forum can jump in and tell me and you.
I did email Ron Lashley, but haven't heard back yet on the mfg. date of the guitar as of yet.

I got the info from Bobbe at Emmons today.
It is a LST10L Single on a Double Frame manufactured
in 1988 (Derby Red in Color)

As always, TXS buddy, for the info on the pup. I have been informed from another forum member that he thought it is a Pentad 5-way that were installed on some Emmons.
I have an email into Emmons for more info as to what actually was installed on the guitar when manufactured.
I will enter that info here when I hear back from Bobbe at Emmons.

| That guitar has the 5-way Pentad Emmons pickup. I remember building that guitar and installing the pickup, trying to figure out the wiring that included the standard tone control and defeat switch. |

TXS for the info. That's great to know that you built it and about the pickup.
I see that these pickups are almost double the price of a standard dual coil pickup. This is from Al Brisco's Steel Guitar of Canada's website on Emmons pricing from spring of 2005. Even back then the Pentad 5-way were $275.00 per neck Canadian Funds and the Dual Coil Emmons pickups were $145.00 per neck.
TXS Jack. So they are quite the expensive pickup.

| The Pentad is the most expensive in the line-up. You have five different configurations, first two are single coil choices (1-close to the bridge for brightness, 2-farther from the bridge for mellowness), second two are humbucking choices (3-parallel for a blend of the two coils, and 4-series for a very thick sound), last is an out of phase, which if used in the right context simulates a match-bro type of effect. |

Yes all 5 positions of the pickup work. I sure was
glad that Jack told me about the Pentad pickup as I didn't realize the 5 positions until he mentioned it.
I had received the guitar in and listed it for sale within a couple of days. I sat and played it for a few minutes and really didn't mess with the switches at all.
The toggle switch operates the tone control. If the toggle switch is positioned to the left the tone control knob is in the off position. If it is positioned to the right it is on, and the left dial knob operates the tone control. This is like all Emmons of the era. Then the right dial knob operates the 5 positions of the Pentad pickup. It has 5 distinct clicks or stops to it. If positioned clockwise all the way the pickup is off, then as you click or it more time counterclockwise it turns the pickup on to that distinct sound. It does have 5 distinct sounds to it. Very interesting and now I can see why it is a very expensive pickup.
So whoever gets this guitar is getting a $300.00 pickup or more.

I had a 1980 D-10 SKH with the pentad pickup, and it was probly the best sounding guitar I've ever had.
I just had an issue with a couple of the knee levers.

I just lowered the price to $2,375.00. It'll stay at this price now. That is a great price for an Emmons Legrande!!! Especially with this Pentad 5 way pickup.

I'd trade an as new 3&5 SD 10 Rains pecan color mica for it. It's an 08 model.
Great little guitar. I have an 83 D10 Emmons SKH and would like to have the SD to gig and leave my D10 at home in the pickin room.
