Hi everyone! We do have guests at our house, however, it should not keep me from enjoying fun and friendship we get from these get togethers. Sounds like the temp. will be more favorable than it has been for how many days, I've lost count.
Ernie, sorry you will not make it. You are a blessing to our group and we have missed that for some time. |

STEELERS ARE WORSE THAN PREACHERS ABOUT EATING
YELLOW LEGGED CHICKEN, WITH BISCUTS AND GRAVEY
AND MASHED POTATOES. IT WILL ALLOW THE PICKS TO SLIDE SMOOTH ACROSS THE STRINGS AND ITS SLICKER
THAN FINGER EASE |

I just got back from Yukon park, no chicken licken fingers, just the great smoooth playing of our friend and budy Ken Collins. He had his blue emmons sounding really great pluged directly into his nashville 400. Yes, no effects and it sounded great.
They will be playing there again next Fri. 4:00-7:00 with the traveling chanel 5 news group.
Ernie, I can't remmember the singer's name but he of course knows you very well being from your part of the country. What a voice and not bad picker. Not as good as you of course.
Look forward to Sat.!!! |

Leroy and co. - I sent a PM but it doesn't seem to have made it to you yet. Anyway, I'll be there as an observer and, sadly, I don't think I'll need any fried chicken. Looking forward to it regardless. |

I want to thank all of you folks that played and supported our Jam. We had 10 steel players plus our very fine band, and special thanks to Wayne (Hutch) Hutchison for MC, vocals, and guitar.
I'm looking forward to our next JAM on Aug 15.

I just want to echo wha Leroy has said. Our jams just get better each month.
I made a visit to the Okla. Stee Guitar Assn, meeting in Owasso yesterday. What a showing there were 15 steels in the main room and 5 in the lesson group. Also over 70 guests. This set a record for them.
I want to thank Marty Neer for giving our Jam a plug. We appreciate you Marty.
Our own Wayne Morton made us proud with his amazing smooth style and tone.
Please continue to keep John Buffington in your prayers as he has ask to step down in his leadership role since some minor complications have arisin. He has to be one of the greats in the Tulsa area being a role model for many of us. No way to say enough thanks for all the time he has contributed to OSGA to help make it what it is today. When this was announced what a day for the new record. We love you John. |
