Here's a YouTube link of a band I play with called the Bad Popes. The guitar I'm playing is a Fender Stratocaster with a Loni Specter " Redneck " that me and my machinist neighbor installed. The sound is quite a bit different that a normal lap steel.

I like the sound you're getting and very nice playing as well. Are you playing it through your regular steel amp? |

Thanks for listening Dave, I'm pretty sure I was playing thru an old Peavey LTD 400.

Mike, I enjoyed that tune and your playing was very nice. The dude playing the acoustic/electric needs to turn down a bunch though but he's probably the bandleader, right? Anyway, I enjoyed it and thanks for posting the clip....JH in Va. _________________ Don't matter who's in Austin (or anywhere else) Ralph Mooney is still the king!!! |

Very nice playing. Loved the harmony duet between you and the guitar player. The square neck Strat sounds great. But, it seems to me there needs to be a little more contrast between the tones of the steel and the guitar player.
I thought the rhythm guitar was okay. I like a strong acoustic rhythm guitar on a song like that. |
