I wrote this tune quite a few years ago and it
still keeps coming around so finally decided to
record it today.

A friend of mine modified a Telecaster design
guitar and I had a brass nut made to raise the
strings and used it for this tune.

Note the closeup of the brass nut.

Here is a link to the MP3:

That's absolutely gorgeous, Roy, both the composition, playing and the sound of the instrument.

I'm also curious about how it sounds for some hot, slashing slide guitar blues. Do you have a track of anything like that?

I bought a New York Pro tele copy, put a raised bone nut on it,Use a BOSS DS-1 distortion pedal,It's GREAT for blues playing,I tune the dobro g tuning DBGDBG,if I want to play something like a swing, just tune the fourth string to E [G6th'] and play clean. The 6th works great on something like Panhandle Rag. DYK?BC.

Thanks for the response..Andy, David and Charles.

I forgot to mention that my tuning on the
clip above is G Major D-B-G-D-B-G high to low.
The Bluegrass tuning.

It facinated me how the minors, augmented and
dominent sevenths all roll off on this tune.

David, it would be fine for slide guitar blues
licks and perhaps I can do some of that at a
future time in choosing material. Good Idea!

Thanks again.

Roy

Very nice, Roy. I was half expecting this to be your interpretation of Duane Eddy's "Three-30-Blues"!
