Thanks Kenny .Here it is guys a chance to be a part of a growing association ,that will have some great times with the jams and steel guitar shows .Keep in mind if this takes off real good you can see some of your favorite super pickers come to columbus for a big show . This is what you always wanted so here it is . Send for your application and help this grow .Also we need some of the other players to join with us , like lead guitar , bass , drums ,keyboards . We can make this thing great if we all pitch in . Thanks ,,, Gary .

Hi,
How cool! A steel guitar association in our own backyard-- sign me up. (Guess I'll e-mail Larry Cole next.)
My main reason for posting this is that I'd like to locate a LAP STEEL teacher somewhere in the Cincinnati-area. Can anyone help me with this? (Would it be more appropriate if I posted this in the NO PEDDLERS-section?)
I live about 20 miles NE of Cincinnati. I got a beginner's lap steel the week before last, my bullet steel showed up yesterday, and now I'm raring to learn to play the thing. I'm not averse to driving an hour or so in any direction for lessons.
In regards to Gary Preston's post of March 6, I've played bass for about 15 years now in jump-blues & bluegrass bands, so I can thump out some lines. I'd be interested in doing so, especially in a steel-guitar context.
Thanks,
John
