I'm watching Hee Haw on RFD teevee. There is pedal steel all over the place. I remember in the late '60s and early '70s when a pedal steel player was revered as a musical genius, a rocket scientist...

I learned all the tricks to playing clean pedal steel -- thanks Jeff. I think if there was more emphasis on playing for $$$ and less for bedroom pickin' the steel would be more in the mix.

What do you think?
