Hook, I think it is the white shirt and pencil tie that makes Weldon not look so big. 
Saw a video on youtube the other night of Connie and a young Weldon. Some mighty fine picking. |

Could it be due to the fact that Weldon or whoever it is is sitting on a regular chair? That looks mighty uncomfortable!

Some questions came up:
The bass player in the dressing room picture is Ike Inman.
The guitar player on the band pic with Ben Keith in fact Odell Martin.
Not sure about the date for the Ben Keith band pic, prob. around 1960. Ben Keith also can be heard on most of Faron's recordings from that time.
