Can anyone out there suggest someone who can give written appraisals of guitars and pedal steels for insurance purposes, please? I wrote to Gruhn Guitars and Elderly. Gruhn responded ($50 per instrument) & I'm still waiting to hear from Elderly. $50 per guitar seemed a bit steep to me though George did go down to $45 for a "group rate". Thanks, steve t |

Hey Steve, any reputable Guitar shop should be able to do that for you. There are blue books for guitars just like the ones for cars that have the values of instruments. If you can't find any place else at a descent price, I can get you taken care of. I manage a store in Houston, TX called Great Southern Music and we are a repair shop as well as a retailer. We do warranty work for Martin, Taylor, Gibson and have been in business for over 30 years. We can do the appraisal for $25.00 per instrument if you have a bunch of guitars we can pro rate the price.
Here's a link to our website.
