Does anybody know what PF uses for a standard pre-amp to the mixing board, i understand they all use multiple appliances, and all the eq,ing etc, pick-ups, blah, blah, blah, but was wondering what the main tone monster might be besides all the other talents!
ala Toneworks pre-amp etc, etc.
I'm not tone chasing, but i have become curious as to what choices are made, it dosen't hurt to reveiw it _________________ A.K.A Chappy. |

I believe he uses a Mesa Boogie studio pre amp but I may be wrong. But I know he uses a Mos Valve 500 power amp. But I really dont know about the pre amp. _________________ "Hotrod"

Unless he has changed his setup, it's a Boogie studio pre, mosvalve power amp, whatever effects and 2 112 cabs. A friend of mine played a session with Paul last year and he used either a Nashville 400 or the 112 with no effects. I read were Paul doesn't record direct. There was a time were everybody recorded direct and he used a delay, no preamp. I'm not saying this is 100% correct. Maybe he'll see this and feel us in.
