Hey Guys,

I thought some the No-peddlers would enjoy these Live Sacred Steel clips of my good friend playing in the Nashville H.O.G. church a few weeks ago.

By the way, he is only 16 years old and playing on an old Oahu Diana lap steel

Nice job, Tommy! Thanks for sharing these, Chris.

It's too bad that Tommy isn't actually shown playing in the videos.

Hi Chris,

Thanks for posting this. There are so many young "sacred steel" players that no one can keep up with them all. I take it that Tommy, Jr. is the son of Tommy Phillips who was (still is?) pastor at the Perrine House of God, and a cousin of the Lee brothers, right?

I hope all is well down your way.

All the best,

Bob

I've noticed that a lot of sacred steel playing reminds me of a record with a skip in it! It's like the same three notes over and over and over.
