It might have been better to have withheld this information from becoming public. The attendance will already be effected by the economy, gas prices, and other uncertainties. And now this. It might be that the whole event will be cancelled this year.

I'm not going either. Haven't been there since Barney Isaacs was inducted into the HOF. And before that,-when Jerry Byrd was inducted into the HOF.

You're absolutely right, Mr McDonnell. The HSGA Joliet Convention might suffer the same consequences. We need registrations to guarantee a convention.

Well, My comments are just joking around. I do not let "who's going/not going" determine whether or not I"M going. I doubt many others do, too.

It's not worth the mental energy to speculate over. Some will lay out because of the economy or other reasons, but others will be there to fill the gap, in their own way. So who cares. Go if you want to. If you can't, then that's the way it is.

Scotty will have a fine show as usual, and you will be richly rewarded with the commraderie you will find there.

Your presence will be a blessing to those who work so hard to entertain YOU. So go if you can and offer your support. Your presence in the steel guitar community is a blessing to us all. Go and enjoy.

St. Louis will be a lot easier to find after East St. Louis finishes their big economic stimulus project: a 3000 foot tall statue of a guy with a croquet mallet.

Yes, Tom, first "by accident" and then on purpose. He ragged me out for having such a fleeting interest in steel guitar brands. It was funny, and I think we both had a chuckle about the way it all worked out.

Lee, I think this thread's a joke between Tom and chris.

Where is chris, anyway? If this was someone selling a guitar they just bought, he'd be here in a flash. Laughing
