I have been trying to simulate the pedal steel guitar parts of Neil Young's Heart of Gold (Harvest, Ben Keith pedal) on a 6-six Morrell lap steel. Does anyone have a tuning or tab suggestions for this? I can get a fairly reasonable approximation to the pedal part using some bar turns with a C#m7 tuning (the tuning I learned is used in the original Sleep Walk in the SGF).
Thanks!

i can't help you, but i would think it's very possible. ben's playing is not at all technically difficult but more about tone and feel.
