| I posted this on the Steel Without Pedals section,, no responses yet. Thought I would try here. I am looking for a solution to a problem on a National lapsteel - older model with string through pickup. I cannot get any volume out of string 4, no matter where I set the pole piece. Also, string 6 pole piece seems to be stripped or broken, and it has no volume as well. Other than repositioning the magnets, any ideas on how to fix this issue? Or do I need to start looking for another pickup? |

| Now, I do not know how this pickup is constructed, but, I wonder if you ought to get the pickup remagnetized. If the coil works, it works, having different levels on different strings points to a problem with individual string magnets. Worth a try. Jim |
