Hello! I don't venture over to the pedal-less side much, but I'm looking for some help. I've got what I've been told is a 50's National lap steel, with original case (serial G39190). Everything works great, minus a bit of scratchiness in the pots, and it sounds super nice. Anyone have an idea what it's worth, or any suggestions on where to look?
Thanks,
Marc

It's a National Chicagoan from 1963. Here's a similar lap steel for comparison purposes. I see these typically go for between $250 and $400. They are very nice playing and sounding lap steels. _________________ Brad’s Page of Steel

The person I bought this off of got it from teh original owner, who NEVER played it. Unfortunately, I lent it to a friend for 3 weeks who had just had his steel stolen, and he lost the original hang tags! It it is really good shape, though. |
