Mark Chesnutt and his band played before a packed audience tonight at the Crystal Palace. I wanted to meet Slim and I introduced myself to him before the show. We talked for a few minutes and he graciously took a picture with me and my wife Cathy. He didn't seem to know about the SG Forum so I gave him
web address. What a gentleman and a great role model for our music.

Yes, he's a very friendly guy and a good picker. I visited with him after a show some years ago. I, too, told him about the Forum and he indicated he had no knowledge of it. At the time, I don't think he was even using email.

Some years ago, my mom went to Branson and brought back one of his CDs. His rendition of Big Mamoux was one of the best I'd heard. Didn't know he p[layed steel.
