A friend of a friend has a 1954 Fender double neck steel with no pedals and 8 strings on each neck and he says the body is walnut. I haven't seen the guitar but they say it's in very good shape. All they are asking for is a ball park figure of what it might be worth any help at all would be appreciated.
Thanks, Carl |

We need to know more information, there were several models. The best would be if you vould get us a photo. Other than that we may be able to ascertain the model by:
Position and number of pickups
Position of the controls
Number and positons of the legs.
Overall length and width
Then it will depend on the condition of the instrument, pictures would be best.

Use the 'Upload Picture' button in the message entry toolbar. It's best to pre-size your images to less than 800 pixels in width. 640x480 is best. We have found that the process fails ungracefully on very large images.
And again, how do you know it's 1954 ? |

Following on from what Basil said, I usually open the pictures in Paint, use the Skew command to resize to both 40% vertically and horizontally, and save it to the .jpg format with a -c suffix. Then it's small enough to post, I don't lose the original, and each time I see a -c suffix I know it's been compressed. |
