For those of you planning on going to the Aloha International Steel Guitar Club's convention this year there is a new addition to look foward to. A new restasurant called the Randolpf Grill has been built on the site of the new motel. From the sources I've talked to, the food is excellent and reasonably priced. There are two banquet rooms, a patio and bar section for you to choose from.

As you know, we used to play two nights at DJ's restaurant. DJ'S is now closed so I have made arrangements with the owners of Randoplh Grill to provide two nights live entertainment. There will be a sign-up sheet at the convention for anyone wanting to play there. Let's give the new owners
a performance they will remember. Photos of the reataurant can be viewed at: randolphgrille.com/photos.html

Man, that sure is a nice addition. Shocked Very Happy I went on their website and checked out their photos, menus, prices etc. Can't wait to try it out. People going to the convention will be pleasantly surprised. Nice bar, too if you're inclined to partake in alcoholic beverages. Order me a BIG lemonade!
But don't forget our old faithful restaurants that served us and put up with us for several years. Namely,- Wickes and the Chicken Shack. We'll have to spread our business around.
See you in 3 weeks.

P.S. We'll have some HSGA Joliet Convention registration forms with us, too. Rolling Eyes

I will be looking forward to the convention. It is always a great convention. A lot of good talent shows up. Always a good representation of Hawaiian steel guitar players from Hawaii. They all play like I like to hear it.

Here is a more direct link to the Hotel.

Whoa! Confused
Don, you missed the point of the topic. The topic is the new Randolph Grille,--not the Randolph Inn.
If you click on the link that you listed,- you just get info on the hotel. If you want info, photos, menus of the Randolph Grille, use the URL that Andy has provided. Or use

Not quite, Wally. I was trying to find the Randolph Grille on several searches so I could post it and could not find it. So I says to myself, perhaps everyone should take a look at the new Randolph Inn and the new accomodations there. So it was a rendering an act of public service that went unnoticed by you. Winking Winking

My hats off to Ron for finding the Randolph Grille to post it. Thanks Ron. Cool

Of note: The prices appear to be on the high side for Winchester. People in Winchester have been used to a lot cheaper fare for quite a few years. The prices to me however seem reasonable when compared to our own local prices.

You're wrong again, Don. You'll notice that I posted the randolphgrille.com before Ron. Thanks, Wally. Anyway, the Randolph Inn is old news. Andy's post was about the NEW Randolph Grille.
You'll probably be looking for the Cracker Barrel or a Cheesecake Factory. I'm patronizing Wickes,--the pie is better there. Who knows,- maybe the Randolph Grille will be serving Wickes pies but at double the price.

Even steel guitar, and certainly hotels, easily falls to the wayside when someone mentions pie, especially pie with ice cream.

Is there anything better than a 50/50 pie of blackberry and peach with a heavily sugar topped crust cap and freshly churned vanilla ice cream?

I'm with you, Ron but I'd sooner have a piece of gooseberry or rhubarb pie. Have you ever had either? Come to Wickes in Winchester and we'll treat you to a taste of heaven with a piece of either.
Better stop this subject or the monitor will be throwing us out for not sticking to steel guitar subjects.
