Buddy and Charles had another great show yesterday with some outstanding pickers. The great Walter Haynes, Herbie Wallace and the regulars played all our favorites. One of the highlights was "Sweet Memories" with Bill Ferguson and a super singer (did not catch his name) was about as good as it gets. Both the vocalist and Bill did a teriffic job.
Got to chat with Skip Mertz, ER Chandler from MASGA. Bill Cunningham had a tone coming out of that Carter that we all search for.

Thank Vernon for the kind words. That was the great Jerry Braswell singing with me. He always pulls me through.

You picked great also.

Fun show and always great to see and hear old friends. Thanks again to Buddy and Charlie. Charlie, we're praying the surgery will go perfectly and eager to see you again.

Thank you Mr. Vernon. You are very kind.

I had a great time Saturday night and Sunday and hope to make it again before 6 more years! I really enjoyed everyone's playing and hate I had to leave before the end.

Bill, Tell Jerry the "old man had a senior moment". He sure had some beauitful phrasing on the tunes he sang. The backup band was something else first time I had worked with them. You just tell them which key and they were with you.
