The Florida Steel Guitar Club's May 2004 Meeting/Steel Jam will be Wednesday, May 12th, 2004, at 6PM. Location is Catfish Johnny's Restaurant, CR470, Lake Panasoffkee, Fl. (our regular meeting/jam place).
The club is open to all interested Steelers and those interested in Steel Guitar. There are no Club membership fees and no admission fees to the Club Meetings/Jams.
For those that will be traveling to Florida, the FSGC Club holds monthly Meetings/Steel Jams the second Wednesday of each month. Lake Panasoffkee is exit 321 on I75, approximately 60 miles west of Orlando and about the same distance north of Tampa.

Our 2nd Anniversary Show will be on September 18th,2004.
We will have more details on this upcoming event at this May 14th meeting.

It's spring in Florida and many of our snowbird pickers will be gone for a few months.
We will miss them.
However, there are a lot of permanent residents down here and our jams continue to be well attended during the spring and summer.

I hear we may have another female steel picker from the Lake City area with us at our next jam.
It's nice to see the gals getting involved with the club.

Hey you guys,

As you know, Laurie and I are still on our extended "traveling" vacation. It appears at the moment that the next Panasoffkee jam we can attend will be in July. I hope being away from Florida for a couple of months doesn't classify us as Snowbirds. (The difference between us and Snowbirds is that they go north to their summer homes, whil we go north to sponge off of our relatives.)

Well, Roy, we'll sure miss you this month and next.

Even with our snowbird friends gone, we still have a good turn out as there are lots of year around resident steel players down here.

We also welcome lap steel and dobro players.
