Well it was the best one yet. Full house most of the day. Garners did their usual great job. "ATTABOYS", to all the players bands, sound techs and even the guy cookin tha fish, Lord knows I got more than my share. Hate to mention names as some are always left out but will mention Tom Brumley, Don Helms and Cowboy Eddie Long, they all did themselves proud a long with Emcee Tommy Sullivan. I do believe Don Helms is getting better if that's possible, a class person as well as his wife.
I said before if there is a better player than Cowboy Eddie Long I would like to hear him. That still goes. Did notice more U12's than usual don't know what to make of that. Anyway, what ever I missed someone please fill it in. I only bought One CD that was one by Billy Ray Reynolds former member of Waylon's band. Billy Ray is a great singer and one of the good guys. Looking forward to the next one hope it is this fall.

Billy, I have to agree with you! Eddie Long put on quite a show. He just has it all!
Don Helms didn't miss a lick and it was a treat to finally meet him. Tom Brumley was great but his set was too short!!! Got to check out the Annapeg and was really impressed!
I enjoyed the other players too! Billy Carr, Joe Grayson, Mitch Ellis, Steve Sanford, Charles Harrison, Tony Lane and others did a fine job also!
This was my first trip. I hope it won't be my last. Great Show! |

Ronnie, I vote for you as the MVP! Man you hung with the guys all day on drums. Great job!
The guy from Mobile is Tony Lane, and he was really a great steel player. He used to play with George Morgan.
