I did a demo song project for semi-retired Nashville songwriter Jimmy Peppers. One of the songs is a Roger Miller type "Don't Give Up Your Day Job" about singers that want to sing for a living. This cut was done with drums and bass only, no other instruments.

A second song "Love Was The Answer" is a good traditional country song. This, to me, is the best song in the project. I did steel on this - using my Franklin and a POD XT, with my own program, directly to the board.

I used Sonar 8 and a Focusrite Saffire Pro 40 8 channel recording interface.

Peppers is a BMI member and the songs are copyrited.

The MP3's for both song are on my web site and the links are"

Nice job Jack. Peppers always could come up with some catchy lyrics. Tell him howdy for me.

Hook, I'll tell him the next time I talk to him (every time I call he is out golfing).

This demo CD is going to Dallas Frazier. Jimmy says he and Dallas are going to do some co-writing. The songs are also going to George Jones and maybe Alan Jackson. He said Jones called him looking for songs for a new CD and that Alan Jackson called him looking for new songs.
