Tonight,5/27/09,Country Jack Harper was inducted into The International Singing Brakeman's Association's Hall of Fame in Meridian,MS during the annual Jimmie Rodgers festival week.Jack,a great singer,is the front man for the Swingin'Brakemen band from the Covington county area of Mississippi.Jack is also a staunch promoter and defender of traditional country music.Band members are Bob Saxton,guitar;"The Legend"Tommy Fortenberry,bass;Stevie Sanford,pedal steel guitar;Sammy Matheny,drums;and Bob Allen,keyboard.

Well deserved award for one of Mississippi's best entertainers. This man should be on the Grand Ole Opry folks! Yes, he's just that good.
