Can anyone help me find where to play these chords on an E9th tuning?

F9+6

What is +6 ?

With root omitted, this is enharmonically equivalent to Bb9 with root omitted, or Dm7-5; i.e. D F Ab C. So the easiest places are probably at fret 6 and fret 11. Fret 6 is cool because you can bend that -9 up and down.

I have no idea. I just got a song sheet for the chords to Summertime and it had F9+6.

Thanks for the help on the E7+5-9

Maybe the person that wrote the chords down meant F6+9?

I was playing this at fret 1 with the 1st pedal raising the B string. Would this be the correct chord?

To me it seems like there is only one note that is different between the Voicings
E7+5-9 = D G# C F (no root)
F9+6 = D G C F

If I transfer that to pedal steel best position would be at 8th fret playing string 7 5 4 3 w half Apedal and B pedal for the E7+5-9
and same fret strings 7 5 4 3 w only B pedal or the F9+6

without seeing the rest of the chords or where the melody line is it is difficult to tell if Im at the correct position.

Maybe they mean F13 without the 11th in there. When in doubt it will sound fine to just play F9. That + usually means augmented, but not written like that. They should have used the word "add" to make it more correct. Looking at the melody wherever this happens might answer the question.
