Jim, I have a 20gig iPod from 2003 I don't use anymore. I'll charge it up and see how the battery is. I'll let it go cheap ($30 shipped), and load it with a bunch of tunes for you to listen to.

Dave, that sounds awesome, thanks! As long as it holds a charge. That's what happened to my others of that vintage... they couldn't be recharged anymore but if this one's still holding on, it's a deal.

There are plenty of sites that sell Ipod batteries ....
If I recall, they aren't super expensive...
If you due to replace a hard drive, forget it...
It's not worth it.
