My Line6 PodXT developed a really bad hum the other day, after some searching, rearranging, I noticed the transformer box (the wallwart that's in the middle of the power cord)was lying on the power cords, moved it and hum went away. Had the same problem causing interference/hum with the bass player's amp this weekend, the bass player had pushed everything out of the way and wound up with a jumble of cords with the transformer lying in the midst of the pile of cords causing his amp to hum.
Just a little something to keep in mind when tracking down a humm..
