What do you folks use for lubricating the ball joints at the ends of the pedal rods? A light coating of automotive grease?

Clear silicone grease works well. But for the most part, these areas don't really require it because there's so little movement and the surfaces are case-hardened. |

If they are making noise, start by aligning the the balls and sockets. Like Donny said, they really don't need much attention, a drop or two of tri flow a couple times a year is enough. |

I use "Dry-Lube", a waxy stick that you just wipe a tiny bit on the ball and it does a good job. A little goes a long way. _________________ The steel guitar is a hard mistress. Thanks for the advice, guys. I'm not having any problems with the ball joints currently, but I wanted to make sure I didn't wear them out through lack of lubrication.
