These are both great units I have both in my guitar
pedal board. For the longest time the DL-4 has been the choice of most of the BIG TIME players. You can set up some presets and it has tap tempo. Robert Keeley does a cool mod for it as well. The Tone Bone is a great unit too. It sounds like the front end of a amp if you set it right. It will get noisy if you try to get to much gain out of it. You back your guitar off and it cleans up just like an amp would. You can change out the tube and it really changes the character of the pedal.
