I've been looking for a stand for my lap steel so I can also play while standing. The only one I've been able to find is the one made by Morrell. The other suggestion I received was to use a keyboard stand. Does anyone know of a decent stand or have any other suggestions? Thanks.... George |

George, what I use is a "walker" that I found at a thrift store for about a buck and a half or so. You need to get the one without wheels. They have rubber on the top which usually is used to keep the hands from slipping but it also keeps a lap steel in place. Here's a shot of my old National D-8 on a walker stand.........JH in Va.

Jerry, what a great idea. I think I'll give it a try. Thanks for the tip. |

That's pretty creative, and probably produces a lot of conversation too! _________________ Benjamin Turner |
