Between my Emmons and Peavey amp I have: Hilton pedal, Korg DTR-1 tuner and a Peavey DeltaFex. After playing for about an hour or so I get a "rattling" noise when I'm playing, similar to a bad reverb sound. It happens with my Nashville 400 or my Nashville 1000. I have to disconnect my tuner and effects for the rest of the night, which cures the problem but leaves me with a dry, boring sound. I have cleaned my cable plugs and all jacks. Any ideas?

Glenn,
By process of elimination I would think You have proved that the problem is with the Tuner or the Deltafex.
I would suggest that when this happens again You remove one piece of gear at a time and see which one is causing the noise.
Does it occur when You use a different patch on the DeltaFex?(something else to check)
Good luck, and let us know how You get on.
Best regards
Billy

Glenn...You did not mention your method of hooking up these two units. If you are not already doing so, you may want to try running your effects unit only through the "Post Gain" effects loop on your amp and using an additional cable from the second output on your volume pedal to the tuner. Removing the tuner from your signal chain may solve the problem. Hope this information proves helpful in some way.

Thanks for your suggestions, guys. Actually, my tuner is the only thing in line from my pedal to my amp. The DeltaFex cables go to the "Power Amp In" and "Preamp Out" in back of the amp. Is that a bad setup? Should it be plugged into the effects loop in front? I sprayed a bit of contact cleaner into the jacks....maybe that'll help.

Glenn...Most tuners when placed in your signal chain will at times color your tone and may cause other problems. Try using the second cable method I suggested and run steel to VP to amp and see if that helps. Also, try the "Post Gain" effects loop for your Deltafex, you may like it better.
