Well, here I am replying to my own message (can't believe I've sunk this far). For ANYONE who might be interested, or who might be in Alabama next weekend . . .

Please post if you ever have a performance in NY.
I would even give up the free hamburgers at Jon Light's gig at Hank's Tavern (if the board of health or building dept. doesn't close it down)...

| Susan, I live in Birmingham and will try to make the show. I will check out the link above to check out the events schedule. Birmingham doesn't do a good job of promoting too many events unless it's Alabama, or Auburn football. That's not your fault, that's Alabama. Good people, just misguided at times. Heck, I'm an Alabamian. Good luck at the show. I'll try to make it and bring some friends. |

John, it looks like I’m going to be performing twice, so I’ll do your request at both events.
Graham, thanks for your kind words.
Howard, I will probably be in New York in late July, so if you can give up the hamburgers for a night (probably a Sunday), perhaps I’ll see you then.
Tim, I know about people in Alabama – they ARE good people; and I know about sports. We have the same situation in Houston (in fact, it may be worse). If you can make it out this Sunday, I look forward to meeting you.

| Susan, I note that "Sweet Home Alabama" is not on the list of tunes you're not intending to do, so I figure you must be planning on using it for your encore! Let us know when you are making a swing through Canada......maybe come to the Gulf Islands in the summer and play for all of us feral hippies that hang out there! And Happy Birthday. | Susan, I would love to hear you play sometime. Book a gig in Illinois! Champaign is actually a very eclectic town musically, but consequently it is a low paying town gigwise. Try booking something in the "Windy City" and I will do my best to be there. I hope Birmingham goes well! |
