Hi Ken,
Nice looking guitar...but The 24 1/4" scale Emmons fret board is not compatable with the 24" Sho-Bud scale...unless I'm missing something
Best regards,
Lynn |

I really do not know about the fret board. I saw a receipt in the case from Steel Guitar Nashville and I assume that was for the fret board. The end of the fret board that is near the keyhead was trimmed a bit for sure. |

For those who would "fret" over the fretboard I have a new Sho-Bud one on order and will have it installed ASAP!!
Silly me, I thought it looked pretty cool with the Emmons fretboard!!! |

Didn't you know... That's just as outrageous as putting Saab bumpers on a Volvo
Or imagine a Fender amp with Black Widows! How strange would that be... _________________ 1983 Emmons D10 SKH, Carter SD10, Nashville 112, Session 500, ProfexII, Lapsteels, GT-Beard reso, guitars of all kinds...

DA-FEET, DA-FEET!!!! LOOK OUT FOR DA-FEET!
My God, it has three white feet and one black one. Better watch out for this one, it might start running away from you.... HA !
I don't know "Ulf", maybe as strange as "Edlund" over the Emmons logo "V". ha, ha...........
Just trying to be funny...

No Fred, that's an all original '50s "Edlund" logo
I'll have to admit the Emmons fretboard looks kinda cool on the Shobud.
And that wood is awsome! _________________ 1983 Emmons D10 SKH, Carter SD10, Nashville 112, Session 500, ProfexII, Lapsteels, GT-Beard reso, guitars of all kinds...

WOW! Ulf, I didn't know that... You went and proved me stupid, course that's not hard to do.. Ha!
Yeah, it's looks cool but still doesn't belong there. It is a great looking guitar for it's age.
Happy days Ulf,

Well, with any hope I will have the new fret-board this week and search for some matching feet!
I need you guys to keep me straight on these steels, I am a much better amp tech than a steel collector!! |

Hey Ken, Beautiful Sho Bud you got there. And just kidding about the feet. (Big deal) You can try True Value, they usually have a large sellection in different sizes and colors. Yes, they come in different sizes...
Have a Great Day,

I will check that out. The new foot (black) came with a replacement leg he bought. The other three look like they came of a set of crutches, bad ugly feet!
Tom sent the new Sho-Bud fretboard this morning. I picked the black, thought it would look cooler than the white one. |

If anyone on the West Coast buys this guitar, I've asked Ken to ship it to me for checking out. Once done, I'll ship it on to the buyer. This steel will play like it was new (probably even better) once I'm done with it. I even have a teardrop knee lever that I'll put on it, and I'm working on a decal for the pedal bar. If the buyer doesn't approve, I'll buy it myself.
Why am I doing this? Because I could do 10 of these for Ken and not catch up with all the good things he has done for me and other steelers. ...Tom |

Thanks, Tom. I will pack her up next week and send it on out.
Thanks to you as well for the Webb customers you have sent my way for repair and mod work.
I am adding a right knee right Sho-bud kits to this and also sending this to Tom.
I will re-list it at some point when all this is done. |
