Cool...This is well-deserved coverage for a great band and a great player. Congrats Paul. |

Thanks for posting this, Robert. I hope Paul's closing statement is prophetic. _________________ Amor vincit omnia |

An observation:-
Those who have been to the Station Inn will recognize the view in the inset photo of the Times article as coming from the direction of Broadway and 12th street. The Inn, itself, is an unimposing, single-story structure sitting on a fair amount of land which is roughly triangular in shape. The high-rise buildings are not a mirage. Is it only a matter of time before a high-dollar developer offers the owners enough money to sell the property and erect another mausoleum to progress? Could be. Although the above is a distinct possibility, I must, in essence, agree with Paul Franklin. The Time Jumpers will survive - in another venue perhaps - but survive they will - and in the grand fashion which characterizes this wonderful group of musicians. They are the proverbial "breath of fresh air" in the otherwise smog of the current musical scene.
But there's a small, but possible, down side to the exposure given to the Time Jumpers by articles such as that in the N.Y. Times. Instead of arriving by 8 o'clock, we may just have to be there by 7:30 in order to get a good seat. I can handle that. |

Great pix of Paul.
That was from the show last Monday night.
I was sitting about four feet in front of Paul, who, it goes without saying, was outstanding.
Fantastic show and for $10.
Best western swing, period. |

Hi all,
Made me feel good again about just playing the music and forgetting about fortune or fame.
Thanks for the post.
