as some of you might remember, i cut a tendon in my left index finger and had to have surgery to repair it. it looks like i might get full use again but one never knows about these things.
it will not affect my steel playing in the long run, just other fretted instruments. the cast i'm in will be on for another three weeks. anyway, i am unable to work right now and am going stir crazy. i have been doing picking exercises for my right hand without the bar....
but that wasn't good enough!!!
when i bought the "fankendekley" last year, it came with a bar that the evil dr. had made for the steel...that is, a bar that had the weight unscrewed from it, leaving it hollow and useless(or so i thought)
well, one scrap piece of aluminum, a hacksaw and an archery wrist guard later........and, back in business.....
i still have to take it easy and not play for very long with this thing on, but it's so nice to be able to have a bar again....
just thought some of you folks might get a kick out of it.
i will hold onto this thing. so if the same thing happens to somebody else i'll send it on....
