Sam,
I'll reply! Elaine was at our Kannapolis jam in April - so we had a chance to see her play and sing.

Thank You Glenn for posting a reply and the great picture of Elaine and Manny. They are both great people and Anna and I are glad to have them for our freinds.WE are also glad to have all the great freinds we have down there in North Carolina and will be back to live a stay with no more moving after this time. I'm getting to old for all that heavy lifting. The heavyest thing I wamt to lift is my Steel Guitar and Amp.See you all soon.

Hi Sam and Glen, Thank you Sam for posting about my better half ,Elaine; and thank you Glen for reminding us of a good time in Kanapolis.
Sam, along with Elaine winning that award at the show on april 26, Tony Poccia,(legendary steel player of 60 plus years with the "Hayloft Jamboree"), won the "Pioneer" award. In addition, the host band, "Whiskeyshooters", featured our own past president, Tony Palmer on steel with some high energy, as well as soulful smooth pickin`. |

Glad to hear Elaine and Tony received the awards !! Well deserved !! Tony P. was always one of my Steel guitar heroes from the times back in the 40s when he played on the radio with Eddie Zacks Hayloft Jamboree and had that Epiphone with the chains and pedals doing all those chords !! He was one of the very first "pedal " players anywhere !! I have a picture of Tony and that pedal steel , wish I knew how to post pics !! Eddie "C" = RISGA !!! |

Jeez...I thought Sam was talking about the award Elaine won a few weeks ago from the CMA....and I was even playing at the R.I.C.H. award show and forgot about it!
It might have had something to do with that bad influence of our lead guitar player, Rudy Silvia and that outside bar....
Elaine and Manny have won so many awards I can't keep up with them. Manny will probably have to build an addition to his house just to keep them all!
And if Eddie C learns how to post pictures, we're all in trouble!

Thanks everyone I guess I should have waited a little longer for Manny to see it on the Forum and then everyone what have known Elaine won another Award.
Manny
Glenn Landing told me he enjoyed meeting you and Elaine and enjoyed having both of you there.I think he done a great job on the Picture and you both looked very nice together.
Yes I forgot about Tony Poccia winning a award. I was not there as I had our New England Steel Guitar Assoc. Meeting.
Eddie C.I remember Tony playing with The Hayloft Jamboree Band way back in the Mid Forty's and Tony Poccia has been playing Steel for that band for 64 years and they are still playing every Saturday night and Anna and I are there every Saturday night. The first song they play every jamboree is Together again and I think of Tom Brumbly ever time.
I know we all appreciate Manny & Elaine two of my favorite people.
