I just came across this. I know it's Gerry (!!!), and I'm pretty sure that's you, Jimmy - is it?
"NO!"
Oh - it's John Roche; of course!!!
It's been so long!!!
The other guy, of course, insisted on having his picture taken with some local talent!
Wembley, 1981 (I think!) - Buddy was there with the Glasers.

OOOPS!!! I'm sorry, John - as I say, it's been an awfully long time. Al I need now is for Gerry to say - "That's not me!!!" (I'm pretty sure about Buddy Emmons, though!)
Thread title amended accordingly. _________________ Roger Rettig: Emmons D10, B-bender Teles and Martins - and, at last, a Gibson Super 400!

HI Roger, I don't ever recall Gerry with a beard? I do remember him with hair!! I was at that venue and saw Buddy being interviewed by Wally Whyton in the large tent to the rear of the arena. Sadly all country has gone from Wembley now.

I've taken another look at the picture - this time with my specs on and it seems Gerry has just not shaved for a couple of days or the light is bad!It certainly looks like him. |

Hi, James!
I don't think that's a beard - I think that's some sort of five o' clock shadow that's accentuated by the low light conditions as well as the inadequacy of the photographer! It's Hogan alright!!! No mistaking the Wing Commander, even twenty-eight years later!
Gerry had probably been queueing overnight to get a spot near the stage! _________________ Roger Rettig: Emmons D10, B-bender Teles and Martins - and, at last, a Gibson Super 400!

I'm sorry, John - I'm 'the person'!!!!! I confess that letting you have a copy had slipped my mind, though.
I've just been going through some thousands of colour-slides and having them digitised at Walmart. I'm being selective, of course, but it's a slow process. I don't know that I can improve on what you can 'capture' from your computer but, if you want, I can make a print and let you have it. Let me know.
Here's the Great Man leaving the scene.....
