Hey Jerry, I just saw this topic so here goes. I'll be at "Whayleyville Days" in Whayleyville, Va. on Saturday the 2nd from 10am to 2pm but that's over an hour's drive from the beach.....
Rick Mann's group, the "Sidekicks" will be at Dave's Red Barn in Rockyhock Campground near Edenton, NC but that's also about an hour and a half drive. Rick's a pretty good steeler by the way....
A friend of mine (Buddy Lilley) hosts a Sunday night jam session in Virginia Beach at a club called "Sammy's" on Va. Beach Blvd. I think it starts at 7 or 8 PM.
All in all, there's just not too many "steel" happenings at the beach this weekend. My band is also playing on Friday night in Newport News but that's the 1st and you said you'd be in town the 2nd through the 4th. The Classic Country band will also be playing on the 5th. Where are you staying while you're here? Give me a call while you're here and I might have some more info. My cell # is: (757-373-0115 .........JH in Va. _________________ Don't matter who's in Austin (or anywhere else) Ralph Mooney is still the king!!! |
