ION Turntable

I have a basic ION Turntable for converting vinyl to MP3 format.

The problem I have is that the software that I installed with it, I think it is called "EZ Vinyl Converter" is very poor. Whenever I convert the vinyl to MP3 format the volume is decreased significantly. Am I using the wrong software or did I hook something up wrong?

The MP3 "bitrate" can be one problem - make sure it's set for 128 bps - the defacto standard.

The free and popular "Audacity" recording program will record and save in either wav or MP3 format.
