Is anyone using the Boss TU-12EX? Tuner. I have been using the TU12H Boss, but I like the feature of the auto-off on the Boss TU-12EX thanks for the in-put Art |

I haven't used one yet, was looking forward to improvements...there may be some, but there are no NUMBERS on the Hertz/cents scales, so figuring out exactly what your pedal steel settings are may be difficult. Leave it to BOSS to muck up a good thing. _________________ E9 INSTRUCTION

Thanks John for the reply, I noticed Musicians Friend was reducing the TU-12 and seling out the TU-H and the TU-12 EX was suppose to replace them. guess we will wait and see. |

The first tuner I started with and still have is a KORG CA-30, I like tuners with a needle, I think it might of cost about $20.00, I wanted to try a new tuner and bought the Boss TU-12EX, for about $90.00, to me with the Korg CA-30 you can finer tune the strings only because the cents scale has further apart graduations than does the Boss TU-12EX which the graduations are very close and making it difficult to tune accurately, the TU-12EX looks good but to me the $20.00 Korg is better for steel. I'd appreciate any one else's comments. |

I agree on the CA-30. Been using one for several years and it's accurate, compact, and easy to use...and it has auto-off for us forgetful types. Haven't had to replace the battery since new. I like the little bugger! _________________ Best regards,
