Mr. Seymore's letter today touched on the subject that's already being talked about on another post.WHEN TO play and when NOT to play.As allways he's RIGHT ON. DYKBC.

Hey Shorty, you know the BEST thing about Funk,he only shows up for a gig about ten percent of the time, guess that's why he plays 90 percent of the time when he does show up,Don't you think ? If you can come to the Hog Bottom concert Sat.Things kick off about one,we don't go on till eight,we could get a lot of BS'ING in. DYKBC.

It was a good newsletter, that's for sure. I have forwarded it to a few folks I know that would benefit from the lesson.

But Charlie - what's it gonna take to get you to spell the man's last name correctly? Winking

Charlie, the rest of your writing is just fine, you're sly like an old fox, but I just couldn't take another thread started with it spelled Seymore! Whoa! Laughing

Your are right Shorty,it's a shame being the great player he is,But being GREAT on an instrument DON'T make a GREAT musician,it's a team effort.DYKBC.

Around this part of the country every lead picker I know seems to think it's his civic duty to play the whole song, usually the melody, except one. The one I play most of my gigs with! How lucky I am!
