John Doe and the Sadies are on tour right now supporting the new, fantastic cd that they did together.

Does anyone know if they've got a steel player on the tour?

It appears as if it's just John Doe and the Sadies. No additional players.

Is there steel on the album? I was thinking of getting it anyway. The Sadies are great live.

The album has Eric Heywood on steel I believe. He's worked with Son Volt, Eric LaMontagne, Shooter Jennings, the Jayhawks, and lots of other alt country bands.

There's quite a bit of nice steel on the album.

I'm sure the show will be great with or without, but I was just wondering if they'd be bringing someone out. Thanks!

Heywood is on tour with the Pretenders so I'm guessing its not him.

Bob Egan is also credited with some tracks. This is a great album well worth checking out.
