Who can tell me who wrote this great old Western Swing song? Another one I was wondering about was "I just destroyed the world I'm living in." Thanks for the help ahead of time.

If my memory serves me, it was written by the great TX fiddler, Tommy Camfield. Played with Hank Thompson, the Southernairs, and others.

Gerry: From what I've been able to find, it's Willy Nelson. Dennis

I'm with Herb, it was Tommy Camfield that wrote "Miles and Miles of Texas". Tommy told the story of how he wrote it, and performed the song at every Grapevine Opry show he was on, when I played there in the early 80's.

"Miles And Miles Of Texas" was written by Diana Johnston and Tommy Camfield.

"I've Just Destroyed The World" was written by Willie Nelson and Ray Price (although Willie was famous for selling song credits in his early career, simply because he needed the money, might be that he wrote it by himself and sold a part to Ray Price).

Kind Regards, Walter

lives in Phoenix and i know him well,by the
name of Ivan Greathouse that has always said
