How many of you guys and gals have tried out the Mullen G2? Visited the Mullen website today and the new changer (no more compensators) and crossbar idea is genius. Didn't see anything about cabinet drop though.

Dare I ask the question, how does the sound compare to an Emmons?

Just came from a gig about 2 minutes ago. I love my G2! I can't say enough good things about it. I never played an Emmons so I will leave that to someone else.

Hi Jaclyn:
How long did you need to wait for delivery of the Mullen?

Dennis, IMHO it's as close to old "Emmo" as one can get. Very Happy

Hey Skip:
"Emmo' is definitely a "Tone To The Bone Guitar" and to say the Mullen G2 sounds like "Emmo" is a tall order indeed. Always remember the time when I was playing a gig and my friend said the sound was fantastic and I must have been really practicing. Truth was I had not been practicing, just playing "Emmo".

Do you have a G2 and if so how does the G2 stack up against the Zum Hybrid changer for sound?

I always look for the miraculous centre tone richness of the push pull when comparing.

As an observation at the Dallas show, whilst the G2's did sound nice, I thought the best sounding Mullen by a long way was Lloyd Maines older SD10 !!

Perhaps the player has some input Laughing
